I didn’t get too many basketball photos this year. The combination of a few-days-old boy and a three-year-old boy made it difficult to getting in much picture taking.

This was Azia’s first attempt at basketball. She didn’t think she wanted to play, but after one practice she was hooked. She really enjoyed all the practices and games. Israel’s end of things is looking more and more like real basketball all the time. He has a pretty athletic group of boys in his class and they are really getting fun to watch as they learn to play together.

Azia usually is a little miniature guard. I was actually kind of impressed, because she can actually dribble (dribbling is often rare in kindergarten games) and most plays she would bring the ball all the way down the court. Of course shooting is another matter. That basket is miles above her head.

Unfortunately, neither of my kids have much hope in the height department. Maybe they’ll have a growth spurt soon. If not, we’ll have to work on speed if they are going to want to be basketball players.
