The NEW House!!!
You’ll have to forgive the quality of my photo tour here--I did it with one baby in my arms and the other running around like a hyena trying to “help”. But at least you get the basic idea here. Maybe Doug can do some editing for me later. Its much easier for him to take photos without being attacked. So, once again, the details. Its 1800 sqft, with a one car garage and a small backyard. 4 bedrooms (I left out pics of one of them, since its sitting empty right now) and 2 and a half baths. Its right in town, about two blocks from City Hall, so Doug walks to work everyday and I have a car. Its essentially next door to one of the packing houses, so every time we drive out, Keilana tells us, “I likea da oranges”.

Okay, so here’s the front of the house (complete with Christmas wreath) and the front patio. The patio is quite sizeable, so we’ll probably get some real furniture eventually. For now the camp chairs will do.

There’s a little half bath just inside the entry (kind of oddly placed for guests, but great for potty-training toddlers), and our livingroom, all Christmased up (I actually snapped the pic of the livingroom while standing in the downstairs bathroom, if that helps orient you).

Kitchen and diningroom. Between them is the door out to the garage and the backyard.

Our tiny backyard.

Keilana’s pretty blue room. She’ll probably be sharing with Dylan sometime after his birthday.

The kids bathroom. They’ve sorta got the beach thing going on there.
Holiday Weekend in Avila Beach.
Doug’s boss invited us to spend Friday and Saturday over at the Avila Lighthouse Suites, along with about half of our ward. We are absolutely spoiled rotten. It was a suite with an ocean view (the hotel is pretty much right on the beach), and had its own little private patio. If I were rich, I’d spend all my visits to the coast here. The rooms are all suites (and very, very nice), there’s a great pool, a park-like set up for the little kids, basketball courts, a fitness center, a bike path, and of course the beach. So we spent the last half of our trip with a bunch of our friends from the Lindsay ward. Like I said, spoiled rotten.

After a few days at the crowded house, the kids were pretty excited about the queen size sofa bed they got all to them selves.

Keilana, Becky and Dylan test out the waters. It was a beautiful day, but the water was REALLY cold, and Dylan, usually a little fish, didn’t like it much.

Emma Townsend and Keilana do some sand digging. The Townsend girls are all pretty fond of Keilana.

Keilana moves around some pons on the large, outdoor chess board at the hotel.

Dylan enjoys the view of Avila pier from his mom’s shoulders, and Doug and the kids get close the water UNDER the Avila pier.

Keilana poses on the street in Cambria with cousins Sarah Clark and Elyse Esquivel and fan Saren Townsend. Later she finds a beautiful princess hat in Froggies toy store (she doesn’t know it, but its one of her Chritsmas presents).
