We gathered for an early Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday evening so we could all hit the inlaw Thanksgiving feasts the next day. (The day after plan was vetoed due to marathon shopping and hunting conflicts.) So, after half of us went to the Headstart Thanksgiving feast in the afternoon, we had another feast complete with all the required Thanksgiving trimmings: Mom’s turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls, and huge assortment of pies, Christina’s green bean casserole, Deva’s delightful shrimp appetizers, and Gwens newest food experiment (this holiday the dishes were asparagus, sweet potatoes, and cheesecake). The after-dinner entertainment was Dad’s multimedia holiday memories presentation and some competitive board games. (It should probably be noted that Christa, Eldon & MichaelҒs team won by a huge margin.)

Gwen and Maysa look over the feast.

Dev carves the turkey, while Elda gets ready to make the gravy.

Azia and Zoran mix up some chocolatey brownie cheesecake desert.

Maysa inspects all the fresh pies.

Near the end of the game many of the little people began to feel left out. It’s much more difficult to play with so much help.

October 30, 2006

We woke up the day before Halloween to white covering everything. The kids were out before 8:00am to play in it.  The day before I was trying to convince Dev to mow the lawn and of course a few days later we were outside planting things in t-shirts. We had a few days of white winter in there.
