So I guess this is the kind of vacation we are taking these days. I had the Heritage Project meeting in this part of the state, so the whole family came along. Friday night we had dinner at the Cozy Corner, a Mennonite run caf in Fairfield, were the kids enjoyed the Irish harpist musical entertainment. (Israel has a new instrument to learn.) Saturday Dev and the kids played in the pool and explored Choteau. We found Cori in the late afternoon and went out to their house for dinner and then she showed us around some of the other Choteau areas. Up toward the mountains there is actually a lot of really pretty land.

Dev and the kids got to Cori’s house before I did. When I arrived, everyone had animals they thought they needed to bring home. This little goat Summer was Dev’s favorite (and probably Zoran’s , too, though he also really liked chasing the chickens).

Supposedly someone took a core sample from this strange old tree and it is one of the oldest trees in North America. So, of course the kids all wanted to climb on it.

Eureka Reservoir is Choteau’s lake. Its just a few miles away from Cori’s house toward the Tetons.

The kids enjoying Choteau’s park.
