Back at the house, we had clam chowder instead of the usual chili, since Dev made chili for Israel’s birthday party yesterday. Valerie made cinnamon rolls. All the “siblings” and their spouses were here: Christa and Dev (and Israel, Azia, Zoran, and Lex); Eldon and Christina (and Daij, Jenna, Bryce, and Isaac); Gwen and Todd (and Kenzie, Kyle, Maysa, and Paisley--no Courtney, who is 15); Michael and Deva (and Gage, Ahni, and Lettie); Becky and Doug (and Keilana and Dylan).
Thanksgiving was the official break-in of our new dining room, but this evening was also nice, with enough places for everyone.
Valerie (who started it all) with the newest arrival: Lex.
Maysa gets prettier all the time, with her mysterious quietness.
Becky and Doug and Dylan relax, the work done and the chowder eaten.
The girls organize their own social event. It’s not clear who’s in charge.
A moment without the little children (who are howling in the background). Quite a tribe.
