August begins at Mission Dam
The sun was hot and the water was cool. Some melon and a few lawn chairs are all we need. Mackenzie swam to the rock and practiced diving. Keilana tried her first Montana swim--she didn’t seem to like it. Those Hawaiian girls get used to really warm water.
While we were there, Todd got a fire call. This led to a rapid evacuation, since Eldon and Michael K have been waiting weeks for their first fire call. Summer begins for real.
Becky's white baby got first priority to sit under Valerie's umbrella. The Dam was busy, and all the shade was taken.
Deva and Michael came a little later, but Ahni got her turn under the pink umbrella.
Maysa sleeps through it. Sunday sleeping in the sun is something of a family tradition.
"The Rock"--Mackenzie and Gage join Michael in an old Mission tradition: swimming to and diving from "the Rock."
Keilana's first Montana swim. Sort of. The water seemed cold after California swimming pools.
Maysa enjoying an August laze. . .
