ChristmasTreeing--Christa’s Version
Well Dad covered this event pretty well already, but I thought I’d add a few more.

Some of the younger crowd was more interested in things other than the perfect tree. Zoran wanted to make it to the top of the hill. Keilana wanted to make use of the snow pants by rolling in the snow. Azia wanted a relaxing ride on the sled. I’m not sure what Dillon wanted--he wasn’t talking as much as the others.

Becky and Doug seem to have this 2:2 parent to child ratio working pretty well--sort of a man to man defense against any problems that arise. I’m waiting to see how it all works once they are outnumbered…

I didn’t see this group at all from the time we arrived until they came running out of the trees here after half the crowd had already left. I imagine there aren’t many better ways to spend an afternoon than this if you are a boy this age--unsupervised, in the trees and snow, with cousins and hatchets.

Issac (Iyezk?) got a ride on Papa’s shoulders for most of the afternoon.
(Dylan actually seemed much happier he appears in this photo.)

Michael brought his chainsaw and I don’t think he got a tree, but he did get some firewood.

Dev and Lex Landon. Landon was all bundled up and mostly just slept through the afternoon.
