Keilana’s 4th Birthday.
Keilana turned 4 on Wednesday, but we didn’t end up celebrating til Saturday. So, even though everyone kept wishing her a happy birthday all week, she told them that she wasn’t 4 until she opened presents.
This is really how Keilana views herself. And being the only female grandchild on this side of the family, I’m afraid it gets reinforced a little too often.
She was pretty happy with her present haul. After we got home, she said to me, at least a half a dozen times, “Thank you for my cake and presents, Mommy”.

Dylan was rather annoyed when Rachel interrupted his swimming to tickle him, and he let he know it.
Keilana was particularly excited about the Waterpillar that Christa sent. She’s been begging me to get it out all morning, but I told her that it’s only 75* right now but if she waits til lunchtime, it’ll be well into the 90s!
