Deva and I went to Great Falls to get our new puppy. We first stopped at Deva’s parents to drop off Maya, one of our other dogs. And while we were there the kids decided the wanted to stay with Grandma & Grandpa, and we’re glad it turned out that way.
We got the pup around 3:00 pm and were very excited, thinking we got a good deal on the dog. That was still early on in our long day.

This is the new pup standing in the harsh wind. We pulled over for a highway patrol car went speeding past with lights and sirens, and decided to stop for a little break. After standing out in the wind for about 10 seconds we were ready to go again.

This is where we caught up with the highway patrol on the way up Rogers Pass.

This is were we stopped and had a nice long break. We came around a blind curve and almost hit a alright sized buck. We swerved and spun a 180 in the road, stopped almost completely, and then proceeded to roll down the imbankment. We were all wearing our restraints (except for the dog) and luckily no one was struck by any loose flying objects. After we stopped completely I was able to get Lettie out and hand her off to Deva, so we could work on getting out. After a new van and a $500 towing bill our puppy only cost us 4000 dollars, give or take a few hundred. What a deal!!
