Gathering The Umphrey Family Site

We had to hike about a half mile from where we parked the canoe to where we set up camp.

There was a 20 foot long trail, complete with stairs, from our camp down to this spillway.  The boys thought it was a good place to explore.

We walked along the creek down to the lake in the evening.  We tried fishing a little but didn’t get any bites.  Jesse, Daij, Gage, and Isreal had fun running up and down the gravel slopes at the back of the lake.

I helped Michael cook diner, then in the morning we had eggs and oatmeal.

Daij and Isreal look for another oportunity for adventure before we get into the canoe to head back.

We saw this hawk from the canoe on the way back.  It was about the size of Isreal.
