Casablanca slide show: grading criteria
What do I need to do to get an "A"?1. The slideshow makes a persuasive arugment about one of the symbols or motifs or techniques used in the movie. The slide analyzes the film rather than paraphrases it. The slide show:
* develops an interpretation that demonstrates a thoughtful, comprehensive grasp of the film
* organizes accurate and coherent interpretations around clear ideas, premises, or images from the movies
* provides at least 3 specific examples and details to support the interpretations
2. The slideshow flows, moving forward in a logical sequence
3. The slideshow is unified: everything in it contributes to the argument that our group is making
4. All the writing is in complete sentences, with corrected spelling and grammar. It is a good model to put on the school website.
5. The slide show is visually attractive, with tasteful colors and transitions: not too busy. Layout is consistent from slide to slide.
6. All the text is legible (The font size is 32 points or larger. There aren’t too many words on a page. Words aren’t placed over distracting backgrounds. There is lots of contrast between the text and the background.)
