Creating a presentation about Casablanca

Work flow

First, create the complete text of a slide show, working in Word or a similar program. This should be about 10 brief paragraphs of text, organized around a central idea and three or four examples.

When the text is done, use powerpoint to create a 5 minute slideshow teaching your interpretation of the movie. You will have till the end of the period Monday to finish this. Since most of the work is writing, be sure to give team members writing assignments by the end of class on Friday, so you can use Mondays class time to work on creating the actual slide show.

The emphasis is upon clear and powerful words, not images, though many screen shots of the movies are available here.

Details:

1. Make sure all members of the team have a copy of the slide show by the end of class each day, so if someone is absent the class work isnҒt lost.

2. If a member is absent during the preparation, the team needs to go on without that member. That member will be responsible for preparing an individual presentation.

3. Presentations will be given on Tuesday, November 21.
