Class bloggers
{summary}Class bloggers: You have been hired to present a cheerful and useful window on what happens in class each day. The emphasis should be upon letting parents and absent students know the work we are doing and where we are in it. You may occasionally mention persons, if someone did something praiseworthy, but you should never say anything unkind or uncomplimentary about anyone.
The main focus, however, is on the academic work that is being done. Write from an “A” student’s perspective, even if you have to fake it. An “A” student, for example, would be more interested in understanding Arthur Miller than on paying attention to the dope at the back of the room who is sneaking mouse balls into his backpack.
You should write at least one well-developed paragraph for each class day. If, for example, we watch a video, you could summarize the parts of the video that are watched together with your assessment of it.

Other bloggers: Blogging is a new writing style that emerged with the Internet. It focuses on brief and frequent posts, usually with links to the article or other blog post that is being comment upon. Where print style writing uses footnotes, bloggers most often provide links. Rarely do bloggers discuss anything without providing a link to it.
The best blogs are somewhat specialized. The blogger becomes an expert on a topic and provides a useful way for others who are interested in that topic to stay informed. Bloggers normally locate the other bloggers who are writing about the same topic and read their writing regularly, often linking to it.
Many companies now hire bloggers to be the public “face” of the enterprise.
