The Indian Self-Determination Act took effect.
1977

Michael Wise opened a family medical clinic, along with Dr. Patricia Hennessey and Physician's Assistant Jerry King. In 1979, Dr. Susan Mann joined the practice. Dr. Wise left in December 1980 and Dr. Hennessey left in July 1981. Dr. Mary Stranahan came in May 1981.
